It's the summer of Spain. United will fly to five destinations in the country in the coming months – more than any other U.S. carrier. The airline has added Malaga to Barcelona, Majorca, Madrid and Tenerife.New direct flights between New York/Newark and Malaga will begin on May 31, 2023. The thrice weekly flights onboard a Boeing 757-200 give travelers the chance to explore Spain's Mediterranean coast. The addition of Malaga comes after a successful summer season offering flights to several Spanish destinations in 2022.

United is also increasing its daily flights to Barcelona. The airline will add daily flights to the Catalan capital from Chicago O'Hare. These flights will be offered on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering Polaris Business Class and premium economy seats. United is also the only U.S. airline to offer direct service to the summer hot spots, Tenerife and Mallorca. As the travel season heats up, it is shaping up to be one of the busiest in several years."United is offering the best of both worlds: we're making it easier for our customers to visit the most popular cities in Europe, but we're also expanding our reach to give travelers access to new places they haven't yet experienced," said Patrick Quayle, senior vice president of global network planning and alliances at United.
