West Coast fliers, take note: Another exciting international route is now on sale from Seattle-based Alaska Airlines.

The carrier has just announced the details and fares for its London-bound route, which is set to debut in late spring 2026, just in time for summer vacation.

Alaska will operate daily, year-round flights from Seattle (SEA) to London Heathrow (LHR), starting on May 21, 2026. The carrier will use its Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes with cabins revamped for long-haul international travel on the new route to the United Kingdom.

The new Dreamliners will feature upgraded business class cabins outfitted with 34 suites with lie-flat beds that are fully enclosed by sliding privacy doors. The widebody planes will also sport a refreshed livery designed specifically for the carrier’s 787 planes operating long-haul international routes.

According to the new flight schedule, planes will depart Seattle at 9:40 p.m. PT and land in London the next day at 3:40 p.m. local time. On the return leg, flights will leave London Heathrow at 5 p.m. local time and land in Seattle at 6:50 p.m. PT that same day.

“Flight times for our Seattle-London route will allow guests to spend a whole day in either city before boarding their flights – a potential benefit for business travelers,” the airline said. London is the largest corporate market out of Seattle, and more than 400 passengers fly between the two destinations every day, according to Alaska.

Alaska’s flights will operate out of Heathrow’s Terminal 3, which the airline says will facilitate easy connections with its Oneworld alliance partners, as well as its other partner carriers.

Fares to London have also just gone on sale, with round-trip flights starting at just $699.

The London flights were first announced in August 2025 and are part of an ongoing network expansion at Alaska Airlines’ home hub in Seattle. The carrier is making SEA its main base for international long-haul flying, a strategy that includes newly launched routes to Tokyo and Seoul, as well as forthcoming flights to Rome and Reykjavik.

Alaska Airlines plans to launch at least 12 new international routes out of Seattle by 2030.
