Alaska Airlines' highly anticipated new nonstop service between Seattle and Seoul, South Korea, will debut on September 12, 2025.

The flights will operate on Hawaiian Airlines' widebody Airbus A330-200 aircraft before eventually moving to a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The new service will depart Seattle at 3:25 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, landing in the South Korean capital at 6:50 p.m. the next day.

The return flights will leave Seoul at 8:50 p.m. local time on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday before landing at 3 p.m. local time in Seattle.

The airline initially unveiled the new route along with a $1 billion plan after merging with Hawaiian Airlines.

"With our robust network, we can connect our guests through our global gateway in Seattle for convenient nonstop service to Seoul and Tokyo, with additional connections to other Asian destinations with our global partners," Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer at Alaska Airlines, said in a statement.

"As we grow our global network from Seattle in the coming years, we'll announce new international routes to dynamic destinations that we know our guests are going to love to visit."

By 2030, Alaska aims to offer at least a dozen new nonstop international destinations with widebody aircraft from Seattle, including Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Narita.

Alaska's new daily flights between Seattle and Tokyo Narita begin on May 12.
