According to Allianz Partners USA, a leading travel insurance and assistance provider, more travelers are relying more on its digital travel companion Allyz to deal with shifting flight schedules, safety concerns and real-time travel disruptions.

New data shows a 250 percent increase in travel app downloads between 2024 and 2025, potentially reaching 1.5 million downloads by the end of 2025. New features that include instant proof of car rental coverage and emergency medical benefits for injured customers make the travel experience smoother by providing customers with essential documents when needed. Parties with emergency medical coverage can use the app to book doctor appointments or receive virtual or in-person urgent medical care in over 100 countries and territories.

Based on thousands of user ratings, the app continues to receive high praise in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Key features available to all travelers include:

  • Geolocation-based hospital finder
  • Medical term translator and medication dictionary
  • Local emergency numbers
  • Real-time safety alerts
  • Trip organizer with flight tracking
  • U.S. embassy locator
