Travelers passing through Utah have a spacious new place to relax before their flight, thanks to Delta Air Lines’ newest lounge opening.

The carrier just debuted a massive new Sky Club at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) that is the second-largest lounge in its network. The airline says SLC is one of its key hubs, and the sweeping new lounge is a reflection of its deepening commitment to the Salt Lake market.

The space measures 34,000 square feet and can accommodate a whopping 600 guests at one time. Only the Sky Club at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is larger, with an additional 1,000 square feet and a maximum capacity for 100 additional guests.

Now open in Salt Lake City’s expanded Concourse B, the new Sky Club is designed to pay tribute to Utah’s natural wonders, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the airfield framed by the Rocky Mountains. Mosaic terrazzo floors in the entry area are designed to evoke sparkling snow, while wood accents, jewel tones, and copper details throughout the lounge are meant to be an homage to Utah’s mountains, lakes, and caverns.

“This space was designed with direct input from our customers—what they love, what they need and how they want to feel when they travel,” said Claude Roussel, vice president, Delta Sky Club and lounge experience. “From the seating layout to the food and beverage offerings, every detail was crafted to deliver an elevated experience that makes the lounge feel like a home away from home.”

Also inside the new space is a premium wraparound bar, nine soundproof phone booths, a food buffet, and a “dirty soda” bar, a play on the Utah favorite drink of sodas mixed with creamers, fruit juices, and other add-ins.

The lounge also has Delta’s first-ever “digital immersion wall,” which engulfs guests in panoramic images of Utah’s landmarks set to a sound track of nature sounds. The airline says the immersion area is outfitted with velvet drapery, acoustic baffles, and dark tones to “create a quiet space to relax and unwind.”

The expansive new Sky Club also comes as Delta is launching more long-haul international routes out of Salt Lake City, including a nonstop flight to Seoul, South Korea, that began in June, as well as upcoming new nonstop service to Lima, Peru, scheduled to start in December 2025.
