Dominica’s Ministry of Tourism and the Discover Dominica Authority have announced a major expansion in airlift for the 2025-2026 season.
The expansion includes increased service from United Airlines, American Airlines, LIAT, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Caribbean Airlines.
The new flights expand visitor access across the country. For example, United Airlines now offers a combination of daily and nonstop options. The carrier operates twice weekly nonstop flights from Newark, New Jersey and daily one-stop service via San Juan, Puerto Rico or St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
This expanded schedule improves access from major United States hubs.
American Airlines will begin offering twice daily nonstop flights from Miami starting December 18. This added service strengthens Dominica’s presence in the North American market and supports peak winter and holiday travel demand.
Meanwhile, regional carrier LIAT will introduce twice-weekly nonstop flights from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, beginning December 16. This new route enhances inter-island mobility and supports Dominica’s multi-destination strategy.
Dominica will also benefit from daily one-stop service via Barbados or Antigua with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. These routes provide convenient long-haul connectivity for travelers from the United Kingdom and Europe.

“The enhanced airlift reflects our commitment to improving Dominica’s connectivity and ensuring that travel to the Nature Island becomes easier for visitors and nationals,” said Denise Charles-Pemberton, minister for tourism. “These new and expanded routes support our tourism growth goals and strengthen Dominica’s position in the regional and international travel market.”
