Bus tickets in Fiji can be purchased on the bus, or in advance at a bus station. Bus schedules and routes are available at bus stations. Most buses are well maintained and have air conditioning - making a bus ride a welcome mode of transport on hot days.

Car rental is a convenient way to explore Fiji. It’s ideal for those who want flexibility and independence. We recommend you reserve your car in advance if traveling in peak tourist season.

The easiest place to pick up a car rental is at the international airport in Nadi. You will also find popular car rentals companies such as Avis, Budget, and Europcar in the capital (Suva) and other major tourist destinations like Denarau Island

Taxis are readily available and convenient for short trips or late-night travel. Private companies operate most taxis in Fiji, but prices are government regulated. Still, we advise you to negotiate the fare before making a trip, as some drivers may charge tourists higher fees. 

Boats are popular for island hopping, and ferries and water taxis are easy to book.

Fiji is a tropical paradise with warm and inviting weather all year round. The average temperature in Fiji is bout 82°F (28°C)

The warmest months are from November to April, with temperatures ranging from mid-70 to mid-90°F(mid-20 to mid-30°C). During the cooler months of May to October, temperatures remain pleasant in the mid-70 to 80°F (around 20 to 26°C).

If you visit Fiji between November and April, you can expect the rainy season to bring heavy downpours. Fiji is susceptible to tropical storms and typhoons, mainly between January and March. 

 

When To Visit Fiji

In our experience, the best time for visiting Fiji is between May and October. In this period, Fiji is sunny and warm, with less rain. However, June through September is the peak tourist season so it can get crowded and prices may be higher.

The months of April and May, as well as October and November, offer moderate weather and lower prices.

You can visit between November and April if you're looking for fewer people and a better deal. Note that this is the rainy season, so prepare for higher humidity and heavier rainfall.



• Mamanucas: This area offers a breathtaking blend of stunning turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and lush vegetation. There are a variety of water activities that you can partake in, such as snorkeling, diving, and kayaking. For adventure seekers, there is hiking a zip-lining. If you’re there for relaxation, treat yourself to a spa session at one of the wellness facilities.
