Travelers looking to escape blustery winter weather in the upper reaches of New York State now have several new affordable options to fly to sunny destinations, thanks to JetBlue.

The New York-based carrier just announced three new routes from Buffalo and Syracuse to Florida and the Caribbean, with introductory fares as low as $59 one-way. The new flights are scheduled to launch just in time for spring break getaways.

Starting March 5, 2026, JetBlue will begin new nonstop service from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL). Flights will operate five times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and fares start at $59 one-way.

On March 26, 2026, the carrier will launch new flights between Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) and Fort Meyers, Florida (RSW). The nonstop service will operate three times per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and fares start at $59 one-way.

Finally, on March 27, 2026, JetBlue will debut a new route from Buffalo (BUF) to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, and Saturdays. Fares start at $99 one-way.

The new routes are part of a larger initiative from JetBlue to continue to grow its presence in the Upstate New York market. In November, the carrier announced it would also begin flights between Rochester (ROC) and Orlando (MCO) in 2026.

“Upstate New York continues to be a key growth region for JetBlue, and today’s announcement is another example of our long-term commitment to our home state,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning and airport partnerships. “We’re excited to bring more of what travelers love about JetBlue to Buffalo and Syracuse.”

Fares for all three new routes are now on sale. To score the introductory prices, travelers must book by December 5.
