Passengers onboard a recent Frontier Airlines flight were
forced to subdue a rowdy passenger who verbally attacked other passengers and
kicked out one of the plane’s plexiglass windows.
According to ABCNews.com,
Frontier Flight F9 4856 was en route from Denver to Houston on Wednesday night when a female passenger
reportedly asked a male passenger if he’d be willing to switch seats.
The man became angry and started screaming at other
passengers and kicking seats before eventually turning his attention to the
plexiglass window, kicking and punching it until it broke.
Frontier flight attendants asked if any members of law
enforcement were onboard to assist, as no air marshal was on the plane. In response,
a military veteran and several other passengers worked together to restrain and
put the man back in his seat, using zip ties and boot laces.
One of the passengers, veteran Tanner Phillips, spoke about
the incident:
“This guy was just going crazy,” Phillips told ABC News. “He
was screaming in multiple languages, punching out the window and laying back
and trying to kick it out. I wanted to help as much as I could.”
Instead of calling for an emergency landing, the plane’s
captain continued the flight to Houston, forcing the good Samaritans to keep
the crazed man under control for around two hours.
The plane landed at around 10:20 p.m. local time in Texas,
where it was met by the Houston Police Department. In a stunning turn of
events, Frontier declined to press charges and the naughty passenger is not
facing charges for his actions.
