Calling All Beer Lovers: This New River Cruise Is For You

Riverside Luxury Cruises is offering guests a first-hand look at Europe’s famed beer culture.

The company is debuting “Hops & Heritage: Cruising Through Centuries of Brewing Craftmanship,” a special sailing curated and led by beer sommelier James Kellow. 

Sailing July 29 to August 5, 2026, the eight-day voyage explores iconic beers and breweries like German pilsners and kolsch in Cologne and Grolsch in Arnhem before ending in Amsterdam. Kellow will lead guests on curated excursions to sample beer and meet the makers at well-known and craft breweries and public houses. 

Onboard, Kellow will also offer interactive and educational sessions like beer tastings, beer and food pairings; he’ll also curate daily recommendations for dishes on the à la carte menu in the Waterside restaurant.

For an additional fee, guests can also book the Vintage Room fine-dining experience, where Kellow and the ship’s executive chef work together to create a seven-course menu celebrating regional beer and local dishes.
