Currency
Despite being a major European country, Switzerland doesn’t use the Euro. Instead, they use the Swiss franc (CHF).
Nevertheless, some establishments accept the Euro as a payment option though you should expect to receive your change in Swiss francs.
Our advice, carry your credit or debit card with you. They make payments easier and more convenient.
National Languages
Switzerland has four national languages, German, French, Italian, and Romansh (a form of ancient Latin). English is also widely spoken. So you don’t have to worry about the language barrier.

Time Zone
Switzerland uses two time zones that change according to the winter and summer seasons. During winter, they use CET (Central European Time), which is an hour ahead (UTC+01:00) of the primary time standard UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).
In summer, they use CEST (Central European Summer Time), which is two hours ahead of UTC (UTC+02:00).
Climate And Weather
The climate and weather in Switzerland are highly distinguishable between the four seasons (summer, autumn, winter, and spring).
Between January and February, daytime temperature ranges between 28 - 45°F (2 - 7°C). Between July and August, average temperatures range between 65 - 82°F (18 - 28°C). And during the autumn and spring seasons, temperatures are between 46° - 59° F (8 - 15°C).
Switzerland's climate is moderate. Weather conditions aren’t excessively hot, humid, or cold.
