Due to strong demand, RIU opened a second property in London – the Hotel Riu Plaza London The Westminster – joining the Hotel Riu Plaza London Victoria, which debuted in July 2023.
“The Hotel Riu Plaza London The Westminster features 464 rooms and is located just one minute from the River Thames and Tate Britain, and within walking distance of the historic Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and the iconic Big Ben,” RIU said, adding that it is also in close proximity to iconic Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, St. James Park and the London Eye.
The building, constructed in 2003, underwent a significant renovation in 2025, after which it began operating as a Curio Collection by Hilton property.
“Thanks to the recent refurbishment, the hotel will not require major adaptation works,” RIU said.
The Hotel Riu Plaza London is the 13th property in RIU’s urban collection, which, in addition to the Hotel Riu Plaza London Victoria, includes hotels in Panama; Guadalajara, Mexico; Madrid; Miami; Chicago; San Francisco; New York; Berlin; Dublin, Ireland; and Toronto.
